Summary

The purpose of this Law is to regulate the exercise of rights, obligations, institutions and mechanisms related to people in human mobility, which includes emigrants, immigrants, people in transit, returned Ecuadorians, those who require international protection, victims of crimes of human trafficking and migrant smuggling. In the case of victims of human trafficking and migrant smuggling, this Law aims to establish the framework for prevention, protection, care and reintegration that the State will develop through the different public policies, in accordance with the legal system.
