Summary
This law establishing the Cameroon Mining Code, which includes 242 articles grouped into twelve (12) titles, aims to encourage, encourage and promote investments in the mining sector likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the country. To this end, it governs the recognition, research, exploitation, possession, transport, processing and marketing of mineral substances. It applies to mineral substances contained throughout the territory of the Republic of Cameroon, on the continental shelf, in territorial waters and in the exclusive economic zone, property of the State which exercises sovereign rights there.
