Summary

The Sustainable Taxonomy of Mexico is created with the objective of generating a reliable, legitimate, unified and science-based classification system that allows defining which economic activities can be considered sustainable. With this, the aim is to increase investment in projects and economic activities that promote compliance with the country's environmental and social objectives, as well as Mexico's international commitments in terms of sustainability. The Taxonomy will also facilitate access to timely and reliable information to encourage the mobilization of capital towards sustainable activities and reduce the risk of greenwashing.
