Summary

The Bekendtgørelse (Announcement) of Denmark in 2015 established a register of pollution emissions and transfers known as the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR). The regulation requires businesses in certain industries to report their emissions and transfers of specified pollutants to the PRTR annually. The data collected in the register is made available to the public to promote transparency and to inform decision-making related to environmental policy.
